IP Publisher GmbH Web Application Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Web Applications and the choices you have associated with that data.

We use your data to provide and improve the Web Applications. By using the Web Applications, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in here have the same meanings as in our IP Publisher GmbH Web Application Terms of Service­­.

In the Privacy Policy, “We”, “us” and “our” refers to IP Publisher GmbH, with office at Stettiner Straße 1, 63322 Rödermark, Germany, and “you” and “your” refers to the individual or legal entity that you represent.

2. Applicability

This Privacy Policy applies to IP Publisher GmbH’s application programming interfaces and associated software, content, products and services, (collectively, the “Web Applications”) and other interactions (e.g., customer service inquiries, user conferences, etc.) you may have with IP Publisher GmbH. If you do not agree with the terms, do not access or use the Web Applications

3. Information Collection and Use

We collect the following types of information for communication and publication purposes to provide and improve our Web Applications.

3.1 Personal Data

While using our Web Applications, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Login and account information. To create and operate an Web Application account, you supply IP Publisher GmbH with a username, email address, password, and/or similar account details.
  • Log data. As with most websites and technology services delivered over the Internet, our servers automatically collect information when you access or use our Web Applications and record it in log files. This log data may include the Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and settings, the date and time the Web Applications were used, information about browser configuration and plugins, language preferences and cookie data.
  • Uploaded data. The Web Applications provide tools to publish and verify your uploads. To operate the tools, you provide us upload data, which may include but not limited to images, textures, measurements, demographic and related information.

3.2 Tracking & Cookies Data

We only use the following encrypted cookies:

  • XSRF-TOKEN cookie that is included with each response generated by the Web Application. No expire time - renews with each request.
  • Session cookie to store information about the user across multiple requests like previous targets, user specific tokens or flash messages. No expire time - renews with each request.
  • Optional "remember me" - cookie to keep the user logged in. Expiring after 30 days.

4. Legal Basis

We collect personal data in order to fulfil a contract between us to provide our Web Applications to you and maintain your account. We store the data based on the type of Personal Data as follows:

  • Login and account information storage. Stored for the duration of the contract with you, or a duration mutually agreed upon by you and IP Publisher GmbH.
  • Log data. Stored for no more than one (3) month.
  • Uploaded data. Stored for at least three (3) years. Renewable for another three (3) years.

5. Use of Data
  • To provide and maintain the Web Applications
  • To notify you about changes to our Web Applications
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Web Applications when you choose to do so
  • To provide customer care and support
  • To provide analysis or valuable information so that we can improve the Web Applications
  • To monitor the usage of the Web Applications
  • To detect, inform about, prevent and address technical issues
  • To publish uploaded data
6. Storage, Transfer and Security Of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside Germany and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Germany and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer. IP Publisher GmbH will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

IP Publisher GmbH may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary:

  • To protect and defend the rights or property of IP Publisher GmbH
  • To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Web Applications
  • To protect the personal safety of users of the Web Applications or the public
  • To protect against legal liability

8. Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

9. Your Rights in Relation to Personal Data

We respect the right of data subjects to access and control their personal data. You have the right to request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, transfer or lodging of a complaint with the Information Commissioner\'s Office for your data by contacting us at: contact@ip-publisher.eu.

The data subject rights do not apply if fulfilling the data subject request may expose personal data about another person, or if we are asked to delete data which we are required to keep by law.

10. Service Providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Web Applications ("Service Providers"), to provide the Web Applications on our behalf, to perform Web Application-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Web Applications are used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

11. Links to Other Sites

Our Web Applications may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party\'s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or Web Applications.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web Applications, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
